Analysis on the anomaly of water level in Kaiyuan well, Yunnan

摘要: 通过对开远井水位的分析, 发现水位与降水有一定的相关性. 当这种相关性消失后, 井孔附近300 km、 400 km和500 km内常有5级、 6级和6.5级以上地震发生. 2009年以来开远井水位出现了低值异常, 这段时期异常与降水不完全相关, 而井孔附近地区的GPS观测结果显示井孔处于构造活动的拉张区域. 综合分析认为开远水位这个时期的持续低值异常, 除有降水减少的因素外, 可能与井孔附近地区的拉张活动关系更为密切.Abstract: By analyzing observations of water level in Kaiyuan well, Yunnan, China, it is found that there exist some correlations between the water level in Kaiyuan well and the precipitation in its adjacent areas. After the disappearances of these correlations, there always are earthquakes greater than 5 (6 or 6.5) happened within a radius of 300 km (400 or 500 km) near the Kaiyuan well. The low-water level anomalies in Kaiyuan well, having been appearing since 2009, are not entirely relevant with precipitation in the same period. Comprehensive analysis results indicate that the persistent low-water level anomalies in Kaiyuan well in this period are correlated with recent regional extensional tectonic activity to a certain degree, deduced from GPS observations in 2009—2010, besides the precipitation reduction.
