  • Certain examples of unusual phenomena of various kinds of the behavior of subsurface fluids (such as groundwater, gases and petroleum) observed several days or hours before strong earthquakes occurred recently in China are dealt with in this paper. It is thought that among them, some may be the first of their types observed not only in this country but also in other parts of the world.
